The Minnehaha neighborhood is the northeast corner of Nokomis East, just west of Hiawatha Avenue and Minnehaha Regional Park. Levitated is north of it on the same road, at 4145 Hiawatha Ave — about a mile and a half to two miles from most of the neighborhood.
Getting here from Minnehaha
By car
Get onto Hiawatha Avenue (Highway 55) northbound and stay on it past Minnehaha Parkway and 46th Street. We’re just north of 42nd Street, with free parking in our own lot. There are no turns to remember beyond that.
By transit
This is one of the few neighborhoods where the train is as easy as driving. Board a northbound Blue Line train at 50th Street/Minnehaha Park Station and get off one stop later at 46th Street Station. The store is about half a mile north of the platform.
By bike
Cross Hiawatha Avenue to Minnehaha Regional Park and pick up Minnehaha Avenue’s bike lanes at the park’s north end. Follow them north to 42nd Street and turn west. Bike racks are out front.
The same road, a few stops north
The neighborhood takes its name from the creek and falls next door. It also lies along the route between the airport and the rest of South Minneapolis, which is why our directions from here and from MSP end the same way.
One practical note for this part of the city: the VA Medical Center, Fort Snelling and the airport are federal property, where cannabis is prohibited regardless of Minnesota law.
