Keewaydin is the neighborhood on the east side of Lake Nokomis, and one of the four that make up Nokomis East. Levitated is about two miles north at 4145 Hiawatha Ave.
Getting here from Keewaydin
By car
Take 28th Avenue north. It crosses Minnehaha Creek, passes the east side of Lake Hiawatha, and reaches 42nd Street; turn east there and follow 42nd Street to Hiawatha Avenue. From the eastern side of Keewaydin it may be quicker to get to Hiawatha Avenue first and take it north past 46th Street. We’re just north of 42nd and Hiawatha, with free parking.
By transit
The closest Blue Line stations to Keewaydin are along Hiawatha Avenue to the east — 50th Street/Minnehaha Park and 46th Street. From 46th Street Station the store is about half a mile north.
By bike
The Lake Nokomis paths connect to the Minnehaha Creek trail at the north end of the lake. Follow the creek trail to 28th Avenue, ride north to 42nd Street, and head east to Hiawatha Avenue. Bike racks are out front.
North from Lake Nokomis
Lake Nokomis is Keewaydin’s western edge, with the paths and parkland around the lake a short walk from most of the neighborhood.
The drive to us follows the chain of water north: Lake Nokomis, across Minnehaha Creek, past Lake Hiawatha, and then a few blocks east.
