Dispensary Near Howe
Minneapolis, 4145 Hiawatha Ave
Howe is the stretch of Greater Longfellow between Hiawatha Avenue and the Mississippi River, north of 40th Street. Levitated is at 4145 Hiawatha Ave, a block and a half beyond Howe’s southern edge, which makes this one of the shortest trips to the store from anywhere in the city.
Getting here from Howe
By car
From the west side of Howe, take Hiawatha Avenue south past 38th Street to 42nd Street. From the middle or the river side, Minnehaha Avenue or 46th Avenue south to 42nd Street, then west to Hiawatha Avenue, keeps you off the highway entirely. We’re just north of 42nd and Hiawatha, with free parking in our own lot.
By transit
38th Street Station on the Blue Line is at Howe’s southwest corner, just across Hiawatha Avenue. The store is about half a mile south of the station, so for much of Howe it’s as quick to walk straight here.
By bike
Minnehaha Avenue has bike lanes through the whole neighborhood. Ride south to 42nd Street and turn west; from 38th and Minnehaha that’s a bit under a mile door to door. Bike racks are right outside.
A short trip from Howe
Howe is a neighborhood of side streets and river access: the Mississippi gorge and West River Parkway on one side, the shops and restaurants along Minnehaha Avenue down the middle, and the light rail on the other. It’s named for Julia Ward Howe, the writer and abolitionist.
