Longfellow is two things in Minneapolis: a neighborhood around Lake Street east of Hiawatha Avenue, and the larger community — often called Greater Longfellow — that also takes in Cooper, Howe, Hiawatha and Seward. Levitated is at 4145 Hiawatha Ave, in the southern part of that community and about a mile and a half south of Lake Street.
Getting here from Longfellow
By car
Hiawatha Avenue is the direct route: head south from Lake Street, pass 38th Street, and we’re at 42nd Street. If you’d rather skip the highway, Minnehaha Avenue runs parallel a few blocks east — follow it south to 42nd Street and turn west. Either way there’s free parking in our lot.
By transit
From Lake Street/Midtown Station, take a southbound Blue Line train one stop to 38th Street Station. The store is about half a mile south of that station.
By bike
Minnehaha Avenue’s bike lanes run from Lake Street all the way down; turn west at 42nd Street. If you’re starting on the Midtown Greenway, leave it at Minnehaha Avenue and head south. We have bike racks out front.
From Lake Street to 42nd
The Longfellow neighborhood proper is the northern end of the community: Lake Street’s restaurants and shops, the Lake Street/Midtown light rail station on its western edge, and Minnehaha Avenue cutting diagonally toward the falls.
